Jasper Weekend Getaway Update
In conversation with the hotel, we have decided to proceed with the Weekend Getaway Marriage Conference at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge on Nov 1-3.
Though the community has been severely impacted by wildfires, we believe it will actually be of great benefit to local businesses to once again have patrons to serve. In this difficult time, they will need the support of tourism dollars more than ever.
Jasper Park Lodge, located approximately 2 kms away from the town of Jasper, was spared damage that would prohibit reopening. The staff have assured us that they will be reopening around October 1st and that they will be fully functioning and able to provide a wonderful experience for our conference attendees.

Speakers
Daniel & Christina Im
Christina and Daniel met on a missions trip where Christina had a dream that she should have married Daniel but ended up marrying someone else! They started dating shortly after and got married in 2006. They call Edmonton home with their three adventurous children and double doodle pup. Daniel is the Lead Pastor of Beulah Alliance Church, the author of multiple books, and a Gallup Strengths Performance Coach. Christina is a social worker, relationship coach, and Gottman 7 Principles Leader. Together, they host the IMbetween Podcast about marriage, parenting, faith, and everything in-between.
Sheldon & Valerie Dean
Sheldon and Valerie met in 1997 while working at summer camp and have been together ever since. Though they’ve had many ups and downs, including teen pregnancy and almost separating 13 years into their marriage, they would tell you they are more in love now than ever. They married in 2001, have three young adult children and love canoeing the Saskatchewan rivers and rapids together. They work with FamilyLife Canada and have a passion to see healthy, thriving marriages across the country and love sharing the difference Jesus can make in our lives. Together they host a podcast called Marriage Talk.
Braden & Kristen Hafner
Since their parents are friends and they grew up in the same church, Braden and Kristen joke that their marriage was arranged. But the truth is Kristen found Braden to have too much hockey hair for her liking. So Braden cut off his luscious locks and the rest is history. Kristen, a former high school science teacher, and Braden, an ordained pastor, have been married for 14 years and live in Edmonton. Together they are the Regional Directors of Alberta for FamilyLife Canada. They run Starting Marriage Strong, FamilyLife’s pre-marriage course, and Braden co-hosts Pure Victory Podcast helping individuals get free from porn.
