Workshop Outline
What is the Marriage Mentor Training Workshop all about?
In this three and a half hour interactive workshop, you’ll learn how your marriage story can bring help and hope to another couple.
By the end of the training, you and your spouse will understand how marriage mentoring works and be able to discern if it’s a good fit for you in this season of life.
If you decide to proceed, you’ll have gained the tools needed to begin mentoring a couple in your church or community.
“We feel like we’ve already been walking alongside some couples, so why not be better equipped? This was a great opportunity.” (workshop attendees)

Marriage Mentoring Wrap-Up
If you have a healthy marriage and a heart to help other couples, mentoring could be a good fit for you. We know your marriage isn’t perfect (No one’s is!), but your successes should be shared with others. This is not counselling; you don’t need to have all the answers. Mentoring involves listening and helping your mentee couple communicate effectively and make informed decisions.
This workshop is also ideal for pastors, church staff, or lay leaders who may wish to see marriage mentoring become an ongoing ministry within their church.
Please check our events page to see if an online Marriage Mentor Training is scheduled for the near future.
Or inquire about having a FamilyLife staff person facilitate a training in person at your church. Churches can also purchase a Starter Kit to run their own training.
