Believing a marriage is more important than the wedding is a good start, but acting on that perspective is vital.
My husband and I acted on our perspective, spending a weekend focusing on our marriage by attending our very first marriage conference: the FamilyLife Canada Weekend Getaway.
The Weekend Getaway was hosted at The Empress in downtown Victoria. It was the perfect location for the conference, as we were in the heart of downtown by the water.
Spending this quality time together has been such a blessing to our marriage. Having the time and space to focus on creating a better relationship has been priceless.
Feeling “inadequate” doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It might be exactly where God wants you, because it’s in those stretched, unsure, answer-less moments that we’re finally in the perfect place to lean into Him.
